I am extremely excited to announce that I will be hitting the road with Brother Elsey at the end of May for a couple of Ontario stops on their tour. Kingston, Toronto, St. Catherines, Hamilton and Waterloo, let’s get rowdy.
I can’t help but be nostalgic and think about six year old John in times like this. All that guy wanted to do when he grew up was to make music for a living. Sometimes when my weeks are feeling hectic or when I am having a bit of a confidence dip, I like to remember that lil’ guy who just wanted to make music. It really helps me to slow down and celebrate “firsts” like these. From first guitars (pictured below) to first tours– we are doing the damn thing!

This tour has me so excited for many reasons. I am excited to meet new people, play new venues, and sing with my good ole pal Willem James Cowan by my side.
That being said, one of the more exciting parts of this tour is that I am working on reconstructing my set. New songs, new instruments and probably some new clothes (gotta wear something fun and fresh). My goal is to create a show that I feel very proud of. Something that feels authentically me and really shows off the love I have for making music.
A lot of you know me as an artist, but production is actually where my journey started. It’s a huge part of how I hear and build songs, so I wanted to bring that into my live show as well. The idea is to give you a bit more insight into the process, the layers, the details, and show off how my songs come together, while still keeping it fun and being able to shake my ass.

Couldn’t be more excited to open for this incredible band of brothers. Come support, we would love to see ya!
With love always <3
